I’m Heather — a planner aficionado and lover of all things paper.
I founded Copper Bottom Design Co. in 2016 because I wanted to see more small business owners succeed by creating the day planners & product lines they were dreaming about.
My previous career in paper goods gave way to a mastery of overseas production, but working with major brands just wasn’t doin’ it for me, ya know?
So I set my sights on the dreamers & folks with big “why’s” behind their brands . . . and the rest is history.

When it comes to planner design, Adobe InDesign is an unbeatable design program.
Can you design a full planner in Canva, Microsoft Word, or another program that might be more intuitive or cost effective?
Absolutely.
But you might find yourself fighting the design to get it pixel perfect, and the export capabilities generally aren’t as sufficient for what is needed when working with a production partner.
